Here’s a full breakdown of the current fees associated with card creation, usage, and wallet funding on Timon:
Card Creation Fees
These are one-time fees charged when you order a physical card or create a virtual one:
- VISA (USD Virtual Card – Local Address) – $3 
- VISA (USD Physical Card – Local Address) – $5 
- Mastercard (USD Virtual Card – US Address) – $3 
- Verve (NGN Virtual Card) – ₦1,500 
- Verve (NGN Physical Card) – ₦6,000 
- AfriGo (NGN Physical Card) – ₦6,000 (Coming soon) 
Transaction Fees
These are fees you may incur while using your card:
USD Card Fees
- International ATM Withdrawals – 2% 
 (May vary based on ATM provider or country)
- International Bank POS Cash Withdrawals – 2% 
- International POS & Online Purchases – 2% + $0.50 
 (Charged for each use of your USD VISA card at international physical or online stores)
- Mastercard Debit Transactions – 1% per transaction (Min. $1, Max. $5) Processing fees and + 2% + $0.50 
NGN Card Fees
- Verve Card Domestic Transactions (NGN) – ₦1 for every NGN1000 (minimum of N100) 
- Verve Card International Transactions (e.g., Google Play Store, Spotify, Netflix) – ₦1,000 flat fee 
- Verve Card Funding Fee (NGN) – ₦100 
USD Wallet Funding Fees
You can fund your USD wallet using any of the following methods:
1. USD Virtual Account & Timon Direct USD Wallet Funding
- ACH or FedWire Transfers – 0.8% 
 (Minimum of $2, no maximum cap)
2. Digital Dollar Wallets (USDC, USDT & PYUSD)
- Funding Fee – 0.8% 
 (Minimum of $2, Maximum of $10)
Quick Savings Tip
It’s always advisable to stay cash-light when you travel. Not only is it safer, but it also helps you avoid currency conversion fees and high ATM withdrawal charges. Unless it’s absolutely necessary, we recommend paying with your Timon card at a Point of Sale (POS).
