Understanding Refund Processing Time

Created by Blessing Chuks, Modified on Mon, 25 Aug at 3:59 AM by Blessing Chuks

When you receive a refund to your Timon card, it typically takes 5 to 15 working days for the amount to appear in your account. This delay is due to the necessary processing steps between the merchant and our card partners.

What Happens During This Period:

  1. Merchant Processing
After the merchant issues a refund, it may take a few days before the funds are released to the card provider.

  2. Payment Network Processing
The refund is routed through the payment network and processed by our card partners before it reaches your Timon card.

  3. External Factors
Weekends, public holidays, and banking schedules can also delay the processing time.

Tracking Your Refund

We recommend asking the merchant for the Acquirer Reference Number (ARN) for easier tracking. However, refunds may still take up to 15 working days.

Click here to fill out the Merchant Refund Enquiry Form.
This helps us collect all the information needed to escalate the issue to our card partners.

What to Do if the Refund Is Delayed

If your refund hasn’t appeared after 15 working days, please reach out to us. We’ll investigate the delay with our card partners and follow up until it’s resolved.
