Want to use your Timon USD VISA card with PayPal? Here’s how to link it in a few simple steps so you can start making international payments for tools, subscriptions, and more.
What You’ll Need:
A verified PayPal account
Your Timon USD VISA card
At least $2 on the card for verification
The billing address you used when creating your Timon card
Steps to Link Your Timon Card:
Log in to your PayPal account.
Go to the Wallet section.
Click “Link a debit or credit card.”
Enter your Timon USD Visa card number, expiry date, and CVV.
Provide your billing address.
? Already have a linked card with the same billing address?
There is no need to enter it again.Submit the form. PayPal will place a temporary charge (around $1.25) to verify your card.
What Happens After You Add Your Card?
Depending on your account, one of the following will happen:
- You’re Asked for a 4-Digit Code
Open the Timon app, go to Transactions
Find the PayPal charge and copy the 4-digit code
Return to PayPal to confirm your card with that code
- No Code Requested
The $1.25 is refunded instantly
Your card is automatically verified and ready to use
Either outcome means your card is successfully linked and usable.
What You Can Do After Linking
Pay for subscriptions like Netflix, Canva, and ChatGPT
Shop on sites like AliExpress and Amazon
Enjoy safer transactions using PayPal as a middle layer
⚠️ Please Note:
PayPal accounts registered in Nigeria can send and spend but cannot receive or withdraw funds. You can:
Pay with your Timon card
Not withdraw PayPal funds into your card or account
